• Around two million students have left public schools since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, according to a recently released report from Education Next.

• Crime in Los Angeles is so bad that a Beverly Hills boutique has actually banned face masks. Beverly Hills boutique Kitson posted on their storefront, “Due to safety of our staff and assets of store, we do not allow the wearing of face masks.”

• At the end of a COVID-19 roundtable held by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo on Monday, the surgeon general announced the state would be recommending healthy children not receive vaccinations.

• The National Academy of Sciences has barred Jane Lubchenco, a key White House climate aide, from involvement in NAS publications and activities for five years for violating its code of conduct before joining the administration, the organization said.
